Clarence created his first version of this effect when he was 19 years old c. 1948 made out of an old Cigar box. The effect is basically the same as Merv Taylors Flash Houlette c. 1946 and a Rings N Things item called Plop Up.
Clarence only made 22 of these Jumbo versions in walnut and mahogany woods, and the size was: 4 7/8 x 1 1/8 x 3 7/8.
Effect:
- A dowel is pushed through the center holes of a wooden box.
- Cards are stacked on top, and when the dowel is removed, every card falls except for the selection.
- Then with a wave of the pencil, the magician can decide the exact second the selection falls and joins the other cards.
No card is forced, and everything is freely examined before & after. Both the woodworking and effect are beautiful.
